About me

This is my do-over in life-I want to experience new and exciting things and have a thirst for knowledge and adventures. People who meet me will be instantly made to feel comfortable because of my empathetic and non-judgmental attitude. "What you see is what you get" with me. I'm honest to a fault but cognizant of other's feelings. I don't believe in playing games or creating drama. I'm fiercely independent and if I choose to be with someone, it's because I want to be, not because I have to be. I have eclectic tastes in music and movies and books as well as openness to exploring and understanding other countries and cultures. I am a bit of an introvert but with extrovert tendencies when needed in a business or social situation-it's just not my preference to be in a lot of crowded situations or to be the center of attention. I served in the Army national Guard and I currently volunteer as an auxiliary police officer for my city while working as a full time purchasing supervisor. I wake up every day with the goal to make someone smile and/or to do something nice for someone. I feel there is good in this crazy world if we help in some small way to do our part to make it better. I love all kinds of animals and have had dogs and cats most of my life. In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, shooting (I have my CCL), gambling and cooking.

What I'm looking for

At this moment, I'm just looking for someone to be special friends with to share in new adventures, whether it be local events, a new restaurant, or just chill and watch a movie. My preference is someone younger (21-35) as that is the age range I am most comfortable with-always have and always will be I think, so they would have to be okay with my being older. I enjoy their openness and sense of adventure and willingness to try new things, that sometimes fades with age. I also happen to prefer someone who has a tendency to be passionate and intelligent and unselfish. Someone who makes me laugh and encourages rather than discourages new ideas. I know that I am attracted to dark hair and eyes and I love trimmed facial hair but I want to look beyond just that if the personality is attractive to me. Different nationalities and/or religious beliefs are not a problem as I embrace differences as long as the person is kind and fun to be with. I am learning Spanish and so being Latino is a plus as you could help me gain the fluency i want. Please feel free to ask me anything and I will answer honestly. Thank you for reading this:-))
