- About me
- I know this sounds like a textbook answer to the question "the things you are most passionate about in life", but it is truly helping others. I do it for work, and fun :)
I enjoy volunteering, and have done so for various causes, as well as fundraising and participating in a couple charity events. My next conquest is the global village program with Habitat for Humanity. I have a strong suspicion that I'm meant to do something amazing with my life, whether it is me that does it, or I inspire someone else..
From reading that, I guess you can probably already tell that I am a fairly passionate person. I also consider myself quite open-minded, as work especially has taught me to look at things through different shades of grey.
I have my faults, like everyone else, but I strive hard to be the best version of myself.. and am learning that a little vulnerability isn't a bad thing...
- What I'm looking for
- If you had a chance to read the above paragragh, then you'll understand why I value the following in a partner...
Open-mindedness. I find it not only extremely frustrating and aggravating but a turn-off, to have a conversation with someone who refuses to at least consider another point of view.
Depth. I get how that comes across as rude, but I have dated people who can't maintain a real conversation, and simply look at the world either through lost eyes, or as if everything is sunshine and lollipops. It isn't, thats what makes the good things great.
Sense of humor, similar to my own. I like to laugh, and its hard to do with someone who appreciates english humor over american ;)
Compassion/sensitivity/vulnerability. I'm not saying I find cry- babies attractive, cause I don't, but I feel more comfortable around those who are willing to express themselves honestly, with minimal reserve. Chances are, I'll understand where you are coming from. I just think these are the qualities that create intimacy in any relationship.
