The biggest barrier to online dating is exemplified by the site who promises to find your 'ideal match on the basis of...': almost all of their successful couples look like siblings. After looking at tons of thumbnail photos, we start winnowing them down to the ones who look most like we fantasize "The One" will look like: the image in our mirrors. Online we trash 95% of the same people we'd give our phone numbers to if we met them at a wedding!
ME: I've worked all over the world and like to travel to places off the beaten track. I'm successful, driven, athletic. Girls tell me I'm decent "arm candy." I'm a hopeless romantic. You're also: slim, or curvy with a slim waist/ankles, under 40 yrs-old, above average IQ, appreciate an experienced man, willing to share a RECENT full-body pic and comfortable with your sensuality. People often tell you you're pretty and your friends don't describe you as 'tightly wound'.
SUBWAY DATE: Any woman mature enough to be discerning (vs. willing to take any guy who happens along with the assumption they'll change his nature to fit their own projection of what they want) needs time to observe a prospect across a room before flirting. 'Coffee Dates' thrust us into being face-to-face without the 'warm-up' at a distance and generate impossible expectations. If you want to meet we'll do so across a crowded subway platform, I'll be at one end, leaning against the wall wearing a brimmed hat and reading a newspaper.
